Breathwork Contraindications
Intuition for Breakfast-led breathwork sessions generally alternate between activating breath patterns (aka “activated breathwork”) and restorative breath patterns (aka “restorative breathwork”).
Certain medical conditions, including the contraindications listed below, are not suitable for activated breathwork, and it is the participant’s responsibility to make the breathwork facilitator aware of those conditions before the session begins. Participants may still join in, but stick to restorative breathwork only.
Not sure about the difference between activated and restorative breathwork? Not to worry — it is explained at the outset of each session or event.
